Substance: The poem tells about a blind boy who despite losing his eye-sight has a great strength of mind, and looks at everything with a positive frame of mind. ‘Light’ and ‘sight’ have no meaning to him as he is deprived of both. He can feel the presence of sun only by the warmth it gives to him.
WBBSE Class 6 English Solutions
He can perceive day and night not by the sun’s rays but by his way of living life-sleeping or playing. He asks his near and dear ones not to mourn for him for his loss of sight because it is no loss to him at all as he has never gained it. Overcoming this handicap, he wants to enjoy his life living like a king most cheefully. He will never care for his blindness.
