Summary: This is a science fiction that takes us to the distant future when people. have started living on the Moon. To them the Earth is a place to wonder at. The story revolves around Kepler, a boy of fifteen, accompanying his father, who is the Governor of the Moon, on an expedition to the Earth.
Kepler heard stories about the Earth from his mother who died five years ago. He is very thrilled at this opportunity of visiting the exciting unknown place, the Earth, for the first time. They boarded the Earth ferry. Kepler is amazed to see from above the Earth so full of water which is a scarce commodity on the Moon.

My father is the Governor of the Moon. He was going on an expedition to the Earth. And here was I, accompanying him on my first ever journey to the Earth.
I looked down at Earth. It seemed so close to me that I felt I could touch it. We had to wait for another fifteen minutes before our journey started.

It seemed only a few minutes before Father’s voice woke me up. “Kepler! You mustn’t miss this sight. We’ve just entered into the Earth’s orbit. Look !” I looked out eagerly. I recognized the narrow stretch of Central America, then the majestic Atlantic beneath us.
“The planet’s all water!” I gasped.
“Seventh-tenths of it are.” Father agreed.
